The last day

Now is the fourteenth week. I have learn a lot, from making video by movie maker to smartboard. I feel that this course is really useful for me in integrating technology in my teaching later. I feel that this course has benefit me and the guidance and advice given by the lecturer and tutors can be applied in the classroom later.
Now, i have to prepare for the examination that is near by and i hope i can perform best in the examination.

How to promote the computer lab.

Scools in Malaysia are equipped with the computer lab mostly, and some are not being used properly. Some of the labs are being ignored and only to be used for making banner for school and so on. In order not to waste the opportunity of having the computer lab, the teacher has to thinbk creatively to create activity to promote the usage of computer lab. First is with using education software. The software will motivate the pupils and the pupils can learn with enjoyment as they learn and play. Second, with the used of blogging, the pupils are able to change opinion and have a great discussion in thir own blog. This also will promote self learning to the pupils. Furthermore, the teacher can make an activity with using chatroom. Then, the teacher moniutor the pupiuls' sentence structure. Teacher correct the pupils if mistakes happen.

Finally the submission of our works. We have compiled the assignment together as a group. I hope the lecturer are satisfy with our works.

Reflection on the 3rd assignment
I feel that this assignment i9s important as we are been exposed to on how to make the activity more effective and how to use smart board in the classroom. This assignment also makes me realize that a lot of things need to be considered in order to create a good activity and effective to assess the pupils' understanding on the lesson taught. Specially thanks to the lecturer and tutors for exposing us to this technology as this technology will help us in future. We feel glad that the we have learnt on how to use the smart board and successfully creating activities using it.

Presentation of the assignment

We need to choose the best among all to present to the class. From the presentation we have taking noted of some of the comments regarding the colour used, the fonts, the background and many more. This will help us in improving the activity so that our activity will be in the right track. We also have to response for other group presentation, I have actively participate by detecting what goes wrong with their activity, however I cannot detect any wrong my own activity. I feel scared if I my activity is not good enough as i cannot see any mistakes or weaknesses on my activity. I have shown to my friend and ask her to comment, but she said my activity is ok and good. But i know, there will also weaknesses.

Assignment 3

On Assignment 2, we are needed to produce materials from the interactive white board. I have chosen to teach about animals in this assignment. We are needed to produce at least five pages of activity and the activity have to be interactive and attractive. At first, I have decided to teach about shape, then i suddenly change the topic as i find top teach shape is quite simple. I need to teach something that is more complex in order to design a good material by using smartboard. With the topic animals, i can use the picture of animals that is colourful and attractive.
I feel that with the smart board, it will help the teacher as the teacher no need to make the materials with their bare hands. I means, they do not need to do the cutting, stapling, combining and other more in order to make an activity. They just only can design the activity with using computer only.

using interactive smart board

Smart board is a new media that can be used in teaching. Smart board is very useful and it has the ability to provide joy and fun in learning. The students can do it themselves in front of the class. This is useful as the smart board can attract the students' attention. Teacher can use their creativity with using colourful pictures and catchy songs in the activity using the smart board. Moreover, the smartboard is an interactive tool. The students easily can absorb knowledge as they put interest in what they are learning. I wish to explore more on this tool and manipulate it in my teaching in future.

the fourth week (various sources for teacher on the web)

During this week, we have exposed to local link on ICT that available for teacher on the web. This is really helpful for my future teaching, there are a lot of materials that can be found in the web. For example, EduwebTV, CikguNet, Etems and MOE. I am sure that, these webs can benefit in designing my teaching in future. The items here, can help me design a good teaching activity.

the third week.

In this week, we have been introduced to some model made and the learning theories. We have been exposed to ASSURE model, D&C model and ADDIE model. For example, the ADDIE model is a generic and simplified instructional systems design (ISD) model. ADDIE is short for Analyze the problem,the goal and the objectives, Design method to solve the problem and choose the media, in Develop phase, materials are produced according to decisions made during the design phase. the second week

During this week, i have exposed to movie maker. Prof. Raja Maznah has taught us on how to use movie maker. This is important as we can use this software for our assignment. The movie maker, is very useful, as we can edit our video from there such as cutting and combining the video clips together. This software is also a user friendly software as the function is simple and easy to be used.

how you as a teacher will be learning

for me, with the use of technology, i can find new information from the net to be used in my teaching. for instance, approaches to be used and to find good materials to be used in my teaching to make the T&L become more effective and interesting to the students. For instance if i am to teach a topic about animals, i can use internet to find materials such as video , pictures and so on.
Moreover, with the technology, my skills of the teaching can ibe improved as i will keep updating myself with new things in the world. so that, i will notbe left out and able to move along with the development of the world.
With using technology also, it will give me the oppoortunity to life long learning. as the internet is the fastest and the easiest for me to find information, i can use it to learn a lot of new things.
